I think I adequately summed up what you can expect from me going from here: There’s pysch rock, neo-disco, electro-psych, some fantastic female voices like Mitski and Angel Olsen, and Danny Brown. You would be hard-pressed to find a bigger Danny Brown fan. And if you do, send them over. I’d love to talk. I’ve been super into The Avalanches’ release this summer — their first after 16 years. I added the two tracks with my favorite collaborators on the album “Wildflower,” Toro y Moi (“If I Was a Folkstar”) and Danny Brown (“Frankie Sinatra – Extended Mix”). I’ve also included a track by Russian singer and producer Kedr Livanskiy, who I expect will soon win American hearts with her album “January Sun.” Also intermixed are tracks by psych-rock group Allah Las, dreamy dance producer Petit Biscuit, and the first single released from “Amnesty (I),” the first post-Alice Glass LP by Crystal Castles.
